We are looking for a Project Superintendent in the Farmington CT area. This candidate will oversee and directs all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. Acts as the primary leader on-site, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and project teams.
Pay $117,000-$140,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and supervise crews, equipment, and subcontractors for efficient project delivery.
- Review plans/specs, identify potential issues, and collaborate with the Project Manager on solutions.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with contract documents.
- Lead safety meetings, enforce safety regulations, and maintain documentation.
- Oversee project start-up, layout, submittals, and weekly look-ahead schedules.
- Conduct subcontractor/foreman meetings and manage daily site operations.
- Maintain project records, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, and design teams.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience as a Lead Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage projects over $5M.
- Experience in at least 2 of 8 markets (e.g., retail, healthcare, education, senior living).
- Familiar with multiple structural systems (steel, concrete, wood, cold-formed metal).
- Skilled in reading blueprints, scheduling, cost control, and site management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with MS Office and construction technology.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
