Reports to: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly)
Pay: $16.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, daytime hours

About Us
Stoystown Auto Wreckers has been family-owned and operated since 1948. We started on six acres with one wrecker. Today we have more than 50 acres of late-model vehicles and a 35,000 sq. ft. warehouse for dismantling, parts storage, and quality control. We run daily delivery routes to repair shops and distribute product to other trade partners across the United States.

The Role
Every part we sell goes through Quality Control before it reaches a customer. As a Quality Inspector, you'll be the last check between our yard and the end customer. You'll make sure each part is the right part, in the condition we promised, and packaged to arrive that way. Your work directly affects customer satisfaction, return rates, and our reputation.

What You'll Do

• Inspect parts pulled from the yard and from stock against order requirements. Verify the part number, fitment, and condition.
• Grade parts using SAW's grading standards (A, B, C, or Reject), and follow our written QC procedures for each part type.
• Clean and prepare parts for sale, then package them securely for delivery, shipping, or customer pickup.
• Update inventory records when a part's grade, condition, or location changes, and flag discrepancies to the Production Manager.
• Keep simple records and do routine clerical tasks tied to inspections and orders.
• Work with dismantlers, sales, and shipping to fix problems before a part leaves the building.
• Keep the warehouse neat, safe, and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A sharp eye for detail and pride in getting it right the first time.
• Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions, and to work within set guidelines with little direct supervision.
• Clear communication with coworkers and vendors.
• Basic computer skills for updating inventory records.
• Automotive parts knowledge is a plus but not required. We train new hires on our inspection and grading process.

Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on warehouse role. You'll regularly walk, stand, and stoop throughout the shift, and you'll occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
