Essential Job Functions
Customer Experience
- Greet customers promptly upon arrival and maintain a friendly, calm, and attentive demeanor.
- Communicate clearly and proactively regarding machine prep status and timing.
- Ensure all required customer paperwork is signed, recorded, and stored appropriately.
- Receive, barcode, and reposition new and used machines as needed.
- Remove customer stickers from used equipment.
- Hook up hydro-mechanical work tools to verify functionality prior to delivery.
- Stage machines for customer pickup, shift preps, and nightly parts trucks—within 30 minutes of internal notification.
- Perform weekly inventory scans and reconciliations.
- Complete shipping/receiving records in DBS.
- Document equipment arrival and departure in Record360 with sufficient photos.
- Send photos of received used machines to the Used CCE Sales Manager.
- Keep the yard clean and organized; wash dirty machines and attachments proactively.
- Conduct daily yard walks to check for open doors, misplaced equipment, damage, or safety concerns.
- Respond promptly to phone calls and text messages.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams to support smooth operations.
- Prior experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or a related field preferred; familiarity with construction or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/systems (e.g., Record360, DBS) for documentation and coordination.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.
