- Execute and lead CFO Advisory - Transaction Support engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to private equity sponsors and corporate clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Lead workstreams supporting Transaction Strategy, Operational Due Diligence, Transaction Execution, and Integration & Separation initiatives.
- Assess finance organizations, operating models, business processes, and reporting capabilities to identify operational risks, execution challenges, and value creation opportunities.
- Prepare and review carve-out and standalone cost analyses, including standalone operating models, TSA requirements, shared services assessments, and dis-synergy analyses.
- Develop executive-ready presentations and client deliverables, communicating findings, recommendations, and implementation plans to CFOs, executive leadership teams, and private equity sponsors.
- Partner with clients to bridge transaction diligence with execution by translating recommendations into actionable finance transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support clients throughout the transaction lifecycle-from pre-close planning through post-close execution.
- Execute Operational Due Diligence engagements focused on finance organizations, operating models, business processes, systems, governance, and reporting.
- Evaluate finance organizations to identify execution risks, operational gaps, scalability concerns, and opportunities for value creation.
- Develop Transaction Strategy recommendations that improve finance readiness and support successful acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs.
- Assist clients with Transaction Execution activities including execution planning, milestone tracking, governance, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination.
- Support executive leadership teams throughout critical transaction milestones.
- Lead finance workstreams supporting post-close integration activities.
- Assist with Day 1 and Day 100 readiness planning.
- Support Integration Management Office (IMO) governance and execution.
- Design future-state finance operating models.
- Develop finance integration roadmaps.
- Lead finance separation planning for carve-outs and divestitures.
- Perform standalone cost assessments including:
- Standalone cost analysis
- Shared services evaluations
- Corporate cost allocations
- TSA development and exit planning
- Organizational design
- Finance organization separation
- Support ERP and finance system transition planning.
- Advise CFOs and executive leadership teams on finance operating model effectiveness.
- Evaluate finance organizations across Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), and Record-to-Report (RTR).
- Recommend operational improvements that increase scalability and transaction readiness.
- Support finance organization redesign before and after transactions.
- Assist clients with interim finance leadership and execution support during periods of transition.
- Develop executive reporting and governance frameworks that support post-transaction decision-making.
- Work with finance technologies including NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, and other ERP platforms.
- Utilize automation and analytics tools to improve finance processes and transaction execution.
- Leverage AI-enabled technologies to enhance diligence, research, project management, and client deliverables.
- Lead and mentor junior professionals across transaction support engagements.
- Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining high-quality deliverables and client service.
- Contribute to the continued enhancement of transaction support methodologies, templates, and best practices.
- Foster collaboration across Stout's Accounting & Reporting Advisory, Valuation, Tax, and CFO Advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Experience supporting CFO Advisory engagements within transaction environments.
- Strong background in Transaction Support, including:
- Operational Due Diligence
- Transaction Strategy
- Transaction Execution
- Integration & Separation
- Experience leading or supporting carve-out and standalone cost analyses.
- Understanding of finance operating models, organizational design, and corporate finance processes.
- Experience supporting private equity transactions, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs.
- Familiarity with Integration Management Office (IMO) methodologies and post-close execution.
- Ability to translate transaction findings into actionable finance and operational recommendations.
- Strong project management, client communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple engagements.
- Experience with finance technologies including NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, research, and client delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- 8 years of experience in Transaction Advisory, CFO Advisory, Deal Advisory, Finance Transformation, or Management Consulting.
- Experience supporting Operational Due Diligence, Integration & Separation, Transaction Execution, or carve-out engagements preferred.
- Experience serving private equity clients and portfolio companies is highly desirable.
- Combination of consulting and industry experience preferred.
- CPA, MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation preferred.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, transaction-focused consulting environment supporting clients through complex business events.
- Deliver thoughtful solutions that bridge transaction strategy with execution.
- Collaborate across Stout's Accounting & Reporting Advisory, CFO Advisory, Valuation, Tax, and other service lines to provide integrated client solutions.
