Job Summary:

The Mining Foreman for Frac Sand Operations is responsible for overseeing daily mining and plant activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction and processing of frac sand. This role involves supervising crews, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, maintaining equipment productivity, and coordinating with other departments to meet production targets.

We are seeking a Mining Foreman for Frac Sand Operations to assist in managing our mining operations in Roosevelt Utah surrounding area. This position is a full-time hourly position with benefits. This position will report to the Superintendent and Plant Management. The successful candidate for this role will have 5 years' experience in Frac Sand Mining Production and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The Frac Sand mining Foreman position is expected to be a high-impact contributor to the success of operations with high potential for future advancement within the organization.

Pay:

$30-$40 Based on Experience in Production Sand Mining (Negotiable)

Possible relocation assistance or lodging Options in Roosevelt Utah

Hours:

65-75 , Overtime after 40. Per Diem. Paid Weekly

Full Time Long Term work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mining personnel and equipment.
  • Ensure all mining operations are performed in compliance with MSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Monitor extraction and production processes to maintain quality and production goals.
  • Inspect mining areas and equipment regularly to identify hazards or inefficiencies.
  • Schedule maintenance and repair of mining equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on best practices and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, safety checks, and employee hours.
  • Communicate regularly with management, plant operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including initiating investigations and reports.
  • Assist in planning and implementing short- and long-term production goals.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in mining operations leadership/management roles, preferably in frac sand or aggregates.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial or mining setting.
  • Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in the operation of heavy mining equipment (loaders, excavators, haul trucks, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mine plans, production data, and safety documentation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and working in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and nights if required.

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Sand Mining Foreman: 3 years (Required)
  • Mining Production: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
