Role Snapshot
- Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
- Extras: Overtime opportunities
- Focus: Build, repair, and optimize dies, fixtures, gauges, and tooling
Your Mission
- Engineer and fabricate dies, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment from print to install
- Set up, program, and operate both CNC and manual mills, lathes, grinders, and presses
- Hold exacting tolerances to ±0.0005" using disciplined layouts and inspections
- Select materials; clean, deburr, and finish parts for production readiness
- Diagnose tooling and equipment issues; implement corrective actions and process improvements
- Apply precision metrology for in-process and final verification
- Champion safety, quality, teamwork, and reliable attendance
- Flex for overtime to meet build schedules
Tools & Technologies
- CNC and manual machining centers (mills/lathes), surface grinders, presses
- Blueprints, GD&T fundamentals, layout techniques
- Indicators, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments
Qualifications
- Completion of a technical school machine tool apprenticeship or equivalent
- 10,000 hours of hands-on machining experience
- Comprehensive understanding of machining, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, and metal forming
- Strong mechanical aptitude, solid math, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail orientation and a commitment to building high-precision components
