What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN House Supervisor position at Stoughton Hospital Association?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an RN House Supervisor to join our growing team.
The RN House Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating patient care duties of professional and non-professional nursing staff on all units during the assigned shift (i.e., evenings, nights, and holidays). The House Supervisor serves as a house-wide resource for other staff during the shift to resolve problems and address critical issues.
Position Requirements:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
- Required Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire, PALS certification within 6 months, FEMA HICS 100, 200 and 700.
- Special Requirements: Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training-every two years on a rolling calendar.
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports.
Work Shift:
- Full-Time, .9 FTE
- Scheduled Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Scheduled Shift: 7:00 p.m. -7:00 a.m.
- Every 3rd Weekend, 7:00 p.m. -7:00 a.m.
- Every 3rd Holiday, 7:00 p.m. -7:00 a.m.
