What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Clearance Analyst position at Stoughton Hospital Association?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Clearance Analyst to join our team on a Full-Time basis.The Financial Clearance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that Stoughton Health’s financial clearance process is fully complete so that our organization secures optimal reimbursement for services. The Financial Clearance Analyst will verify that patient and insurance information is obtained and documented in Epic through activities that may include coverage, eligibility and benefit collection and verification as well as authorization procurement. The Financial Clearance Analyst is also responsible for producing patient estimates for services provided at Stoughton Health which includes notifying patients of their estimated out of pocket costs, requesting and accepting pre-payment as well as referring to Patient Financial Services when appropriate. The Financial Clearance Analyst will work closely with our Patient Access Specialists and Clinic Schedulers to not only ensure payment sources are secured and patients are counselled prior to receiving services but may also provide back-up to the team when necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Special Requirements: One year of experience in a Registration Department and/or Patient Financial Services Department is required.
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills- Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports.
Work Shift:
- Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
- 40 hours per week
- Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday
- Scheduled Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
