What the Role Pays: $18-21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
About the Role
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you'll work alongside our doctors using advanced eye care technology, assist with specialized treatments, and help create exceptional patient experiences from start to finish. No two days look the same — you might start the morning running OCT scans, spend the afternoon helping a patient find their perfect frames, and wrap up with a team huddle.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and welcoming patients and visitors
- Obtaining patient history and performing pre-testing
- Taking visual fields, retinal photos, iCare tonometry, and OCT images
- Assisting with dry eye treatments (LipiFlow, InflammaDry, Radiofrequency, BBL)
- Assisting with aesthetic treatments (TempSure Envi, BBL, TriLift)
- Using RevolutionEHR electronic health records
- Reading and interpreting medical and vision insurance benefits
- Answering phones and supporting front desk operations
- Assisting in optical with frame adjustments and repairs
- Accurate data entry and documentation
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
Who You Are
You have an outgoing personality and a genuine passion for helping people. You thrive both independently and as part of a team, stay organized under pressure, and are always eager to learn. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are a must.
Requirements
- High school diploma (required)
- Proficiency with Mac computers (required)
- CPOA certification, or eagerness to pursue it — we'll support you in getting there
- 1 year of healthcare experience (preferred, but not required)
