About the Role
The Principal AI Software Engineer will join the early engineering team and report directly to the CEO. This role focuses on building and supporting secure, mission-critical services that underpin a data-sharing platform used in national security environments. The position requires experience across the full data and software lifecycle, from data management and application development through deployment and production support.
Experience in defense or intelligence is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for secure data sharing platforms
- Build and support production systems that handle sensitive, large-scale data
- Develop and deploy agentic services leveraging LLMs, embeddings, and inference
- Implement permissioning and interoperability across AWS services including S3, Lambda, and RDS
- Support ML Ops practices, reliability, and system performance
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on architecture and product direction
Required Qualifications
- Strong software engineering experience building and supporting production systems
- Experience deploying or supporting LLM-based or agentic services in production environments
- Experience handling and securing large-scale production data
- Proficiency with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and RDS
- ML development experience in Python and/or JavaScript
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- U.S. Citizenship required
Salary : $240,000 - $280,000
