Duties

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately interpret project scope and material requirements.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Xactimate, and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial roofing projects.
• Manage project budgets by estimating labor, materials, equipment costs, and subcontractor expenses with precision.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate Saleman, project managers, and field teams to ensure clear communication on project scope, costs, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress through cost control measures, change order management, and ongoing estimation updates to ensure profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on roofing or related trades within the construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, Job Nimbus and construction management tools.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Solid understanding of construction management processes including contracts, project management, and cost control strategies.
• Skilled in negotiation with vendors and clients to achieve favorable terms while ensuring project quality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel spreadsheets for estimating and tracking costs, Job Nimbus).
• Construction site experience is highly desirable for better understanding of field conditions impacting estimates.
• Effective communicator capable of managing client relationships and coordinating with internal teams for successful project execution.
