As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will:
- Utilize the nursing process within the guidelines set by the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) and our hospital's policies to deliver high-quality care. You’ll have the support of our Charge nurses and the freedom to voice any concerns.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, dieticians, Patient Care Coordinators, Respiratory Therapists, and other departments, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications accurately and safely according to hospital policies and IBON scope of practice, contributing to positive patient outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and develop tailored care plans for both assigned patients and those under the care of a Registered Nurse (RN). If you're an LPN, you'll conduct subsequent assessments under the direct supervision of an RN, ensuring continuity and quality of care throughout the patient's journey.
- Educate patients and their families on health-related topics and document their needs and understanding, fostering a supportive and informed care environment.
- RN: Provide oversight and delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Unit Secretaries, ensuring smooth unit operations and optimal patient care delivery.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about optimizing patient care? We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited and approved RN/LPN program required.
- Current, unrestricted RN/LPN license in the state of Iowa required.
- Must successfully complete Basic Life Support (BLS) requirements through the organization’s Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program within 30 days of hire.
- Must successfully complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) requirements through the organization’s Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program within 30 days of hire. (RN Only)
- Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 30 days of hire.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of employment. (RN only)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of employment. (RN only)
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not required.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, physicians, patients, residents, volunteers, and visitors.
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Salary Ranges: $25.00 - $37.50 (LPN) per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
$30.00 - $45.00 (RN) per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
