What You’ll Do

As a Lead RN, you will:

  • Provide leadership and supervision for Inpatient and Emergency Services during scheduled shifts.

  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with physician orders, nursing practice standards, and hospital policies.

  • Serve as the go-to resource in the absence of the department supervisor or director.

  • Step into staffing gaps and provide direct patient care in both the Inpatient and Emergency departments.

  • Assist with staffing evaluations, adjusting needs to balance patient care and labor resources.

  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, administration, and other departments.

  • Direct emergency medical situations using ACLS guidelines until a physician arrives.


What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Current unrestricted Iowa RN license.

    • BLS (within 30 days of hire).

    • ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 90 days.

    • TNCC within 6 months.

    • Mandatory Reporter certification (Dependent Adult & Child Abuse) within 30 days.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute, critical care, and/or emergency department nursing.

  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers; Epic EMR experience preferred.

Department: Inpatient and Skilled Unit | Emergency Services

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Three Shifts per week Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00pm - 7:00am

Salary Range: $35.63 - $53.45 (competitive and commensurate with experience)
