The preceptor will demonstrate competency in the department by following policies and procedures. They will maintain clinical expertise by attending workshops, seminars, and in-services related to the needs of the department. Participates actively in clinical education activities, including orientation of new employees and teaching student nurses.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Must meet educational preparation or other qualifications within specified time frames as determined/outlined by specific department policy.Experience Qualifications9 months Stormont Vail Health RN experience; directors’ discretion. RequiredHave successfully completed Stormont Vail preceptor course training. RequiredSkills and AbilitiesNo Corrective Actions at warning or above.
