Education Qualifications
- Master's Degree Business, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration or related field. Required
- 5 years Experience in management or in a process improvement / Lean / Six Sigma facilitation role required (experience can be combined to meet qualification). Required
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Visio. (Required proficiency)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate is required.
- Responsible for facilitating high impact, strategic improvement projects of large scope and complexity.
- Manage and facilitate the design of value stream improvements. Research, analyze, identify opportunities, deliver recommendations, present the business case for change and generate workplans.
- Conduct readiness reviews to manage risk and resolve items impacting scope, schedule and/or quality.
- Assists with providing executive level coaching, including priority setting. Works with various leaders across the organization to introduce Lean business/management practices to have a positive impact on the organization.
- Coordinates and facilitates multidisciplinary teams/committees. Monitors outcomes related to real or potential events. Takes initiative to follow through on inquires, problem or requests.
- Conduct operational assessments. Review, analyze and deliver solutions and recommendations to improve clinical and business processes.
- Serves as a mentor and coach to the Performance Excellence Team, and others to grow their LEAN technical and consulting skills.
- Utilizing the Lean methodology, eliminate duplications and improve customer satisfaction and patient outcomes.
- Assists with the design, analysis, measurement, and implementation of changes.
- Identifies and utilizes appropriate data sources (ie. Action OI) related to job activity sampling; assists in determining work standards through time studies and other methodologies
- Identifies areas where technology can be leveraged to improve efficiencies (ie. SVConnectOne)
- Performs statistical analysis on obtained research data to determine possible solutions to operating problems, feasibility estimates, and staffing requirements.
- Assist with establishing and facilitating cross-organizational project teams to drive implementation of transformational improvements to positively impact and achieve sustainable results in the areas of quality, service delivery, productivity, revenue, costs, patient and customer satisfaction.
- Establishes and assists in preparing narrative reports documenting data collection and analysis methods, study subjects and recommendations.
- Communicates, collaborates, and serves as consultant/coach to operators, management, leadership, and outside professionals regarding all of SVH’s Lean projects.
- Trains/educates individuals in the organization on Lean process improvement methods and the Plan/Do/Check/Act problem-solving approach.
- 20% In-state travel required. Must be able to travel to various work locations within the SVH network.
