Campground Host

The Campground Host is a seasonal role responsible for supporting the daily operations of Sunrise Campground. Hosts ensure a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests by providing excellent customer service and maintaining campground facilities.

Location: Sunrise Campground – Storm Lake, Iowa
Seasonal Position: Mid-April through Mid-September
Department: Parks & Recreation
Employment Type: Seasonal / Hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to campground guests.
• Handle cash transactions and accurately record payments.
• Assist visitors by resolving concerns and answering questions.
• Clean restrooms, shower facilities, and common areas.
• Maintain grounds, including light maintenance tasks.
• Operate small equipment such as push mowers, weed trimmers, and power washers.
• Perform office-related duties requiring attention to detail and reliable cash-handling skills.
• Work as part of a two-person team during each shift, alternating with another two-person team.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform light maintenance and operate small equipment.
• Reliable and accurate cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a two-person team.
• Ability to provide a personal camping unit for on-site stay.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly wage.
• Campsite with full hookups provided for the duration of employment.
• Host must supply their own camping unit.
