Role:
As a Loan Processor, you will be responsible for processing loan applications for fix-and-flip and bridge loan products. You will work directly with loan originators, brokers, borrowers, and other team members to ensure smooth and timely loan processing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of loan processing procedures, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify loan applications, supporting documents, and credit files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with borrowers, agents, and third-party vendors to gather necessary documentation and clarify any missing or incomplete information.
- Prepare loan files for underwriting, ensuring that all required documents are included and comply with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Analyze loan documents, appraisals, title reports, and other relevant information to assess loan eligibility and risk.
- Coordinate with the loan origination team to ensure timely processing and decision-making.
- Review and process borrower inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
- Track and manage loan progress from application through closing, keeping all parties informed of loan status and timelines.
- Assist with loan file preparation for closing, ensuring all legal documents are correctly prepared and executed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the business.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Loan processing experience is preferred but not required.
Skills:
- Knowledge of loan processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex loan files.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with borrowers and team members.
- Proficiency with loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
