β‘ Position Summary:
Own the electrical architecture and end-to-end design of flight and test harnessing for a space vehicle program. This is a hands-on, high-impact role embedded within Assembly, Integration & Test, requiring deep knowledge of aerospace harnessing standards and cross-functional coordination.
β‘ Key Responsibilities:
- Lead system-level electrical architecture & grounding strategy
- Design and document all flight harnesses (pin mapping, drawings, routing)
- Select connectors, RF cables, materials, shielding & terminations
- Support in-house harness build & verification (ring-out, hi-pot, bake-out)
- Design non-flight/test/EGSE harnesses (FlatSat, HIL, TVAC, bench)
- Ensure compliance with industry & rideshare safety requirements
- Collaborate with CAD, avionics & AI&T teams to optimize routing, mass & EMI performance
- Manage harness-related vendors
β‘ Required Qualifications:
- Direct experience designing flight harnesses for spacecraft
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (e.g., NASA-STD-8739.4 or similar)
- Experience routing in CAD using harness design tools (e.g., Visio, Siemens, Zuken)
- Knowledge of high-power and high-frequency/RF harness design
- Strong systems-level thinking & documentation skills
- Startup / fast-paced environment experience
- BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or related field
