Position Overview

This is a chance to join a well-capitalized trading firm with hundreds of millions in capital, top-tier technical capabilities, and a track record of strong performance-based compensation. They are seeking an experienced Financial Transmission Right (FTR) trader to focus on trading congestion products across multiple Independent System Operators/Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTOs). The role involves active trading, market research, and the design of trading strategies.

As part of a growing FTR trading team, you will work closely with analysts and experienced traders to evaluate opportunities, manage positions, and test new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Trade FTRs and related congestion products across multiple ISO/RTO markets
• Conduct research on power market fundamentals and congestion dynamics
• Develop and implement new trading strategies and risk management approaches
• Monitor and analyze trades, positions, and portfolio exposures
• Collaborate with team members

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an FTR trader or in a closely related role
• Strong working knowledge of at least one ISO/RTO market
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of a strategy, including risk oversight
• Proficiency in modeling, programming, and quantitative techniques
• Strong analytical background, comfortable applying probability and statistics
• Ability to make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
