A hyper-growing WealthTech start-up is building a Saas platform for private investors to drive returns and efficiently operate funds. They are located in the heart of New York City and are looking for someone to lead a highly motivated and collaborative engineering team. They raised over $65 million in the past year and are looking to scale both their product and their team.
The ideal candidate should be able to lead multiple engineering teams, guiding collaboration between them, while also providing a strong impact on the development of system design and architecture. They are looking for someone to hire, mentor and manage new engineers in order to double the size of the team, all while working closely with the CTO make executive decisions regarding the future projects and direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build: Provide hands-on work, developing systems, architecture and infrastructure
- Lead: Manage, develop and mentor engineering teams.
- Drive Collaboration & Execution: Bridge the gap between engineering teams, aligning and guiding technical efforts with business and product priorities.
- Impact: Have a strong say in the making of hiring as well as business development decisions.
- Scale: Take headcount from 20 to 40 by the end of 2026.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience, including 4 years managing engineers and technical leaders.
- 5 years of experience in high growth FinTech companies.
- Experience in early stage environments (such as Series A/B start-ups), building both systems and engineering teams.
- Experience working with server-side languages and web frameworks.
- Been a technical lead and mentored other engineers on code reviews and best practices.
