Storm Technologies is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team, delivering advanced automation solutions for industrial refrigeration systems. If you’re passionate about PLC and HMI programming, thrive in a hands-on engineering role, and want to work in a specialized and impactful field, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
✅ Design, develop, and commission control systems for ammonia refrigeration applications
✅ Program PLCs (Rockwell Automation, Ladder Logic)
✅ Develop HMIs (FactoryTalk SE/ME, FactoryTalk Optix, and/or Ignition)
✅ Integrate and troubleshoot industrial control systems in compliance with IIAR standards
✅ Travel to customer sites (~40%) for commissioning, support, and training
What We’re Looking For
🎯 At least 2 years of experience programming and commissioning Rockwell Automation PLCs and HMIs
🎯 Proficiency with Ladder Logic and experience with one or more HMI platforms:
- FactoryTalk View
- FactoryTalk Optix
- Ignition
🎯 Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills
🎯 Willingness to travel as project needs dictate
Nice to Have:
🌱 Familiarity with industrial refrigeration concepts and IIAR standards
🌱 Industrial networking knowledge (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet)
🌱 Scripting experience
