REPORTS TO:
Superintendent
JOB GOAL:
Manage and supervise database operations for all major District networked database systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Make decisions and demonstrate leadership that supports the mission, goals, and interests of the district and its students.
- Implement policies and develop procedures for the most effective and efficient management of District databases and assurance of data quality, in accordance with Board policies.
- Work cooperatively with administration to provide ongoing technology training and technical support to staff when it comes to the databases and how they work.
- Coordinate with administrators for all research/review, purchase, piloting, and implementation of database projects. Work closely with the District Technology Director when the database will require or impact Google, Active Directory, the security of the data and/or the network or just for a second opinion.
- Serve as administrator/supervisor for all major networked database programs for the District, including the following:
- Securities
- Database changes and upgrades
- Data entry and data quality assurance
- Training and ongoing support for staff
- Creation of import/export files
- Perform the student registration process to assure data quality.
- Supervise data collection for federal, state and local reports, and create import/export files for othersoftware, as needed.
- Work with parents and students on set up and use of district-wide based systems.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage all aspects of database administration, including staffsupervision, data quality assurance, and project implementation.

- Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with District policy
- High level of initiative and independence
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-Time
- 260 day position, year-round
