Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Qualified Lead Daycare/Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and support the growth of young learners. Your expertise in early childhood education will inspire children, promote positive behavior, and ensure a safe, stimulating environment for all students.
Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Lead daily classroom activities that foster social-emotional growth, cognitive development, and physical skills among children.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster a collaborative relationship.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes child welfare and developmental growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, with demonstrated classroom management skills.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and child development instruction.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, standardized testing methods, and early intervention practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or Montessori teaching are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
- A passion for early childhood education with at least one year of preschool teaching experience preferred.
