We’re seeking an experienced Fractional Business Development Consultant to accelerate our partnerships with premium baby and parenting brands. In this part-time, high-impact role, you will leverage your deep industry relationships to open doors, cultivate early-stage conversations, and shape Stork Exchange’s pipeline of prospective customers.
This role is ideal for a well-connected sales leader who thrives on relationship-building and understands the unique dynamics of the baby products space. You’ll work closely with the CEO to identify target partners, warm up leads, and prepare them for formal pitches—while also helping refine Stork Exchange’s sales materials and deal strategy.

What You'll Do
1. Prospecting & Relationship Development
- Leverage an existing network within the baby and parenting industry to initiate conversations with manufacturers and retailers.
- Identify and engage new potential partners aligned with Stork Exchange’s value proposition.
- Build trust-based relationships, keeping Stork Exchange top of mind for returns and resale initiatives.
2. Prospecting & Relationship Development
- Qualify and nurture early-stage leads through discovery conversations and ongoing follow-up.
- Coordinate warm handoffs to the CEO for formal sales pitches and partnership discussions.
- Maintain clear documentation and updates on lead progress.
3. Sales Enablement & Strategy
- Advise on the development and refinement of sales collateral, pitch decks, and outbound messaging.
- Provide strategic guidance on deal framing, value articulation, and negotiation positioning.
- Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging opportunities from your network.
4. Brand & Industry Advocacy
- Represent Stork Exchange at industry events, trade shows, and networking groups where appropriate.
- Serve as an ambassador for our mission, helping educate the industry on the value of circular solutions.
Who You Are
- 10 years of business development, sales, or partnership experience—ideally within baby gear, parenting products, retail, or closely related consumer goods industries.
- Deep, established network across baby brands, distributors, or retailers, with a reputation for trusted relationships.
- Proven track record of generating and nurturing high-value leads.
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to convey credibility quickly and foster long-term relationships.
- Strategic thinker who can advise on sales narratives, positioning, and partner needs.
- Comfortable working independently in a fractional, flexible consulting structure.
- Passionate about sustainability, circularity, and improving the experience for parents and brands alike.
