Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chef to join our culinary team in a collaborative management work environment. You will work with our current management team to meet goals. The position requires overseeing food preparation, kitchen management, working on the line, maintaining health department and company standards as well as team supervision. We are a non corporate environment which encourages individual growth and creativity. We are seeking an individual who will continue efforts towards staff growth and keep moral inline with company standards while maintaining an atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
• Accommodate and understand dietary needs as well as customer preferences.
• Comprehension of ordering procedures and deliveries.
• Be able to work any station such as Sauté, Grill, Fry, Salad, Expo.
• Maintain proper health protocols and cleaning standards.
• Maintain positive work culture
• Manage inventory control by making sure products are rotated and used timely
• Coordinate with front-of-house team to ensure BOH and FOH have strong communication and understanding of each others goals.
• Supervise food preparation to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality standards.
• Provide training to existing and new team members.
• Collaborate on seasonal menus and create specials.
• Work directly with the owners to keep goals inline with the company's trajectory.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience working all stations
• Supervising experience managing kitchen teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
• Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and food production techniques.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
• Communication skills and the ability to coordinate team members.
• Creative mindset towards plating and food composition.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
