Retail Sales Photographer

$17/hour commission

Storibox is hiring Retail Sales Photographers for our NYC location at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, one of the most immersive experiences in the world. This is a high-energy, customer-facing role where photography and sales go hand-in-hand.
We immerse ourselves in the experience and capture unforgettable moments for guests visiting SUMMIT. Sales make up approximately 50% of the job, so we are looking for outgoing, confident, and people-friendly individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Important Hiring & Availability Requirements
- Must be available to start immediately
- Must be available to work Valentine’s Day weekend
- Venue operates 7 days per week, 8:00 AM – Midnight
- You MUST be able to work any Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at any time
- Full open weekend availability is REQUIRED
- Open weekday availability is a strong plus
Group Interview Details (Mandatory)

- Time: 2 PM
- Location: SUMMIT One Vanderbilt – Main Entrance
Interview Instructions:
Please enter through the main entrance and inform ticketing staff and security that you are there to meet with ASHLEY from STORIBOX PHOTO COMPANY for the 2 PM group interview.
Please bring:
- A copy of your resume, with your availability clearly written on it
- Two (2) forms of ID
Site Policies:
- No weapons are permitted on site
- All bags will be searched upon entry
What You’ll Be Doing
Storibox operates cutting-edge photography experiences using current technology — this is not a traditional camera-only role.
Photo Capture
- Operate ceiling-mounted cameras with green screen technology at the main entry experience (no handheld camera).
- Work as a roaming photographer on artistic levels capturing fun, dynamic photos with NYC skyline views with a handheld camera.
- Photograph guests in glass floor bays using our SkyCam system.
- Stage, pose, and engage guests of all ages to create memorable images.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Sales (50% of the Role)
- Confidently interact with guests and pitch photo packages.
- Upsell products and experiences in a friendly, energetic way.
- Operate our Photo POS system, including editing, printing, sorting, and packaging.
- Present and maintain retail photo kiosks.
- Track sales goals, spending per person, and commission metrics.
Guest Experience
- Greet and welcome guests, directing them through photo capture locations.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a tourism and retail setting.
- Create a fun, engaging experience that guests will remember.

- Comfortable working weekends, evenings, holidays, and late nights
- Experience in retail, sales, photography, tourism, or hospitality is a plus (but not required)
