Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coffee Shop Manager to lead daily operations at our bustling coffee establishment. The Coffee Shop Manager will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily coffee shop operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels to minimize waste
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Handle cash management, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers
- Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinate shift schedules and manage staffing levels for optimal service delivery
- Implement training & development programs for staff to enhance skills in food production, beverage preparation (including barista experience), and hospitality management
- Monitor quality control in food preparation, beverage service, and overall cleanliness of the establishment
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting as needed
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages professional growth and high performance
Experience
- Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Strong background in food service management with expertise in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures
- Previous experience in coffee shop or barista roles is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, interviewing, and team management
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is a plus
- Experience working in hospitality management or hotel environments is beneficial
- Familiarity with budgeting, inventory control, and operational planning within the food industry
