Shift: Sun - Wed 6:30 am - 5 pm
Position Description
The Operations Lead - Parcel Sortation will be responsible for overseeing the full parcel lifecycle service health, with a primary focus on label creation, Print and Apply (Panda) sortation, staging, loading, and dock management. A key part of this role will be auditing Gaylords to ensure accuracy and compliance. The Operations Lead will also report parcel service health and dock performance up to management.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor the full parcel lifecycle including label creation, Panda sortation, staging, and dock loading.
- Conduct regular Gaylord audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for outbound shipment.
- Oversee dock management, ensuring parcels are staged, scanned, and loaded on time to meet carrier requirements.
- Report parcel lifecycle performance and dock metrics to management, highlighting risks and proposing corrective actions.
- Partner with maintenance or support teams to troubleshoot equipment or workflow issues.
- Reinforce company and site-specific safety policies, modeling safe work behaviors and coaching associates as needed.
- Take corrective action when safety, quality, or productivity standards are not followed.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and driving corrective solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What You'll Need
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Experience with parcel sortation, dock operations, or fulfillment logistics strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse environment (temperature fluctuates with seasons).
- Regularly able to lift/move up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 75 pounds.
- Strong organizational and accountability skills, with the ability to clearly assign and follow up on work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Warehouse
- Management Systems (WMS).
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates and management, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
