At Storage Star, our employees are at the center of everything we do. The HR Generalist plays an important role in supporting employees throughout their employment journey, from recruitment and onboarding through day-to-day HR support and benefits administration.
This position serves as a key point of contact for employees and leaders, helping answer questions, solve problems, coordinate HR processes, and create a positive employee experience. The HR Generalist will manage recruiting activities, support onboarding, maintain HR records and systems, assist with benefits administration, and help ensure HR programs are delivered consistently across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, providing support, and growing their HR career within a fast-paced and expanding organization. This will be a hybrid position, working 2-3 days a week in our Salt Lake City office and 2-3 days a week at home.
Requirements:Essential Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions.
- Create and post job advertisements across recruiting platforms.
- Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Coordinate interviews and partner with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Facilitate background checks, offer letters, and pre-employment processes.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
- Ensure completion of employment documentation and compliance requirements.
- Partner with leaders to support successful employee onboarding experiences.
- Conduct new hire follow-up meetings and support employee transitions.
Employee Support
- Serve as a resource for employee questions related to policies, benefits, HR programs, and employment processes.
- Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries.
- Escalate complex employee relations matters as appropriate.
- Help maintain a positive and supportive employee experience.
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and benefit-related questions.
- Process qualifying life events and employee changes.
- Support annual open enrollment activities.
- Assist with leave administration and documentation tracking.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Support HRIS data maintenance and reporting.
- Process employee status changes and employment documentation.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance-related activities.
- Support HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with HRIS systems and recruiting platforms is a plus.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
