The Director of Investors Relations is responsible for developing and managing the company’s proactive Investors Relations strategy and activities. This role will understand the company’s positioning and dynamics, in creating the organization’s IR messaging and approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to market our investment offerings to new investors and consultants that currently do not have a relationship with our company.
- Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans to source new clients through extensive research on and outreach to investors and their consultants' activity in the private equity real estate space (with a focus on the cultivation of new institutional investor relationships).
- Service and interact with existing investors, prospective investors, consultants, and advisors.
- Oversee the collection of and responses to information requests from investors and consultants, including regular updates to consultants, RFPs, DDQs, quarterly questionnaires, etc.
- Host meetings with prospective investors.
- Lead and support new capital-raise initiatives.
- Develop marketing presentations, with input from other team members.
- Be able to clearly articulate the company’s strategy to prospective investors.
- Work with Legal and Compliance departments for review of regulatory compliance for materials produced and understand regulatory compliance issues as it relates to investor marketing.
- Other Duties and Projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Finance, Administration or other job-related degrees.
- Strong background (minimum10 years’ experience) in a senior role in an IR function within a public or private company, preferably in Real State or Property management industry.
- Proven ability to understand and effectively articulate complex topics to internal and external communities required.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with strong financial and investment analysis capabilities.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication and influencing skills required.
- A proven, successful track record in developing and managing highly credible relationships.
