Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Technician role based in Bridgewater, NJ. The Automation Technician will install, configure, and maintain automated equipment, robotics, and control systems used in daily operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and supporting system upgrades or modifications. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical and technical schematics, collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and documenting maintenance activities and repair work. The technician will also help implement safety procedures, optimize machine performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Travel to customer sites is required

- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in automated equipment.
- Experience with robotics and automation systems, including setup, calibration, and basic programming or parameter adjustments.
- Working knowledge of electricity, including reading electrical schematics, wiring, and safe use of electrical testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance for production machinery, robotics, and automated lines.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, following lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
- Relevant technical education or certification in industrial automation, mechatronics, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bridgewater, NJ, and support shift work or overtime as operational needs require.
