Traveling Lead Superintendent β Structural Steel

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Superintendent with strong expertise in structural steel construction to oversee multi-level commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a proven leader who can effectively manage job sites, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain strict safety and quality standards while traveling to various project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all field operations on structural steel-focused projects, ensuring schedule, safety, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate steel deliveries, sequencing, and erection to minimize downtime.
- Enforce and uphold site-wide safety standards across multiple subcontractors and trades.
- Manage field conflicts, mis-fabrications, and schedule delays while keeping the project on track.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specs, codes, and client requirements.
- Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships while ensuring accountability.
- Report progress, issues, and updates to project managers and clients.
- Motivate crews to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Drive quality installation with precision in multi-level structural steel projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Superintendent, with a strong focus on structural steel projects. Can take all levels.
- Proven track record leading multi-level and large-scale projects from start to finish.
- Deep understanding of steel erection, sequencing, inspections, and tolerances.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong safety background and ability to manage busy sites with multiple trades.
- Willingness to travel frequently to job sites.
