Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all patrons. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Assist in merchandising products and maintaining attractive displays to enhance the shopping experience.
• Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and provide supervisory support when needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic math and retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
