Duties

• Prepare and assemble deli products according to company standards, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage customer orders with friendly service, upselling products when appropriate to boost sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling and workspace organization.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, warmers, and other food prep tools.
• Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking deli items and monitoring product freshness.

Experience

• Prior experience in food preparation or quick service/fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in retail sales transactions and cash handling using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous culinary or café experience is a plus, along with familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely.
• Customer service experience that highlights effective communication and upselling techniques.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register operations.
