What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Service Technician position at Stoops Freightliner?
The Mobile Technician is responsible for repairing customer equipment off site in a timely and efficient manor to maximize uptime for the customer.
- · Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instrument, and machine tools
- · Diagnose, troubleshoot and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
- · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits utilizing computer-based software diagnostic programs and printed wiring schematics
- · Recondition, repair and/or replace parts
- · Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearing, electrical system, and air systems
- · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs
- · Ability to set up and use common cutting, welding, and metal fabrication tooling and equipment as needed to complete repairs
- · All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- · Technician experience, qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this dealer.
- · Complex diagnosis and repair.
- · Work with minimal to no supervision.
- · Effective customer service skills, self-motivated, responsible with strong work ethic.
- · Locally valid driver licenses.
- · CDL preferred but not required.
- · Must be a minimum 21 years of age
