JOB DESCRIPTION:
Specific responsibilities:
•Perform treatments/procedures, First Aid, and administer daily and prn medications according to MD orders/school and DPH policy/HWRSD protocols/procedures.
•Maintain accurate up to date health records.
•Meet requirements of DPH/DESE health regulations for immunizations. Health screenings, concussion protocol, communicable disease surveillance, and field trip planning and preparation.
•Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other staff as part of an interdisciplinary approach to ensure student health and wellness in the school setting.
•Develop and revise individualized health care and emergency plans.
•Attend nurse staff meetings and faculty meetings as appropriate.
