Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Room Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's growth. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, and classroom management is essential to ensure a positive learning experience for our preschoolers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training, and outdoor activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other relevant documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, activities, and parent meetings
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when required
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or behavior management is a plus
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized and nurturing environment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, staff, and children
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for early childhood education
- Ability to pass background checks as required by licensing regulations
