We are currently seeking a strong, hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team.
Position Overview
The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a critical role in the daily operation and success of the kitchen. This leader will work directly alongside the Kitchen Manager and Operating Partner to execute high-quality food, maintain kitchen standards, lead cooks by example, and help drive operational excellence. This is a working management position that requires strong leadership, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a high-volume scratch kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute line functions and lead by example during service
- Assist with daily kitchen operations in a fully scratch kitchen
- Cut and portion meats and seafood in-house to company specifications
- Support ordering, inventory management, and product rotation
- Manage prep production and kitchen organization
- Train, coach, and develop line cooks and prep cooks
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Ensure proper sanitation, safety, and cleanliness procedures are followed
- Assist in labor management and scheduling
- Help create a positive, accountable, team-driven culture
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen leadership experience preferred
- Strong line execution and scratch cooking knowledge
- Experience with meat cutting and portioning is highly preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality, quality, and team development
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
