We are
seeking a skilled Ironworker to support commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. The Ironworker will be responsible for the installation, erection, modification, and repair of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, platforms, stairs, handrails, ladders, and equipment support structures while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Erect and install structural steel, beams, columns, braces, and miscellaneous metals according to project drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and fabrication details.
- Perform rigging activities and assist with crane operations during steel erection.
- Install stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, equipment supports, and other fabricated steel components.
- Align, bolt, and secure steel members using hand and power tools.
- Work closely with welders, fabricators, and project supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Safely operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other jobsite equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in structural steel erection, industrial construction, or ironwork.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of rigging practices and steel erection procedures.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- NCCER, OSHA 10/30, TWIC Card, and refinery experience preferred.
