Job Title: Construction Manager – Mission Critical / Data Center Construction

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Industry: Construction / Mission Critical / Data Centers / Civil

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

Our client, a respected builder in the mission critical sector, is expanding its Texas Gulf Coast presence and seeking a Construction Manager with a strong civil background to lead data center construction in Corpus Christi. This is a high visibility role on a ground-up program where civil and sitework execution set the pace for everything that follows. The Construction Manager will serve as the on-site leader, driving schedule, quality, and safety while acting as a trusted point of contact for the client and design team.

The Construction Manager owns day-to-day execution of large-scale data center construction from site development through structural completion and handoff to MEP-intensive phases. The role blends hands-on field leadership with client-facing responsibility, managing subcontractors, coordinating with owners and engineers, and keeping complex civil scopes on schedule in a fast-track environment.

Responsibilities:

· Lead ground-up data center construction, with emphasis on civil and sitework packages including mass grading, earthwork, deep foundations, underground utilities, paving, and site drainage.

· Direct daily field operations, supervising subcontractors and self-perform crews to maintain schedule, quality, and safety standards.

· Serve as the primary on-site representative to the owner, functioning in a client-facing capacity on progress reporting, issue resolution, and milestone planning.

· Coordinate with design teams, geotechnical consultants, and inspectors to resolve civil and structural issues in the field.

· Manage project schedules, look-ahead planning, and sequencing across concurrent civil, structural, and building trades.

· Oversee subcontractor buyout support, scope reviews, change management, and cost control in partnership with project management staff.

· Enforce site safety programs and lead a zero-incident culture across all trades.

· Ensure QA/QC compliance for concrete placement, structural work, and utility installation, including documentation and closeout.

Qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered.

· Proven experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial construction, with direct exposure to mission critical, data center, or comparable heavy civil and structural projects.

· Strong command of civil scopes: earthwork, foundations, underground utilities, concrete, and site infrastructure.

· Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and field teams on fast-track schedules.

· Comfortable in a client-facing role with owners, engineers, and inspectors.

· Working knowledge of scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project) and construction management platforms (Procore or similar).

· OSHA 30 certification preferred.

· Ability to be based in or relocate to the Corpus Christi, Texas area.

Seniority is flexible. Our client will consider strong candidates across a range of experience levels, with title and scope aligned accordingly.

Compensation:

Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, performance incentives, and a comprehensive benefits program, commensurate with experience.
