Stones River Electric is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR operations for our growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a department, working closely with leadership, and building strong HR processes.
This is a high level HR role focused on strategy, compliance, and workforce management. It does NOT include receptionist duties, accounting work, or general office administration.
What You Will Do
HR Leadership
• Oversee all HR functions for the company
• Serve as the primary HR resource for leadership and employees
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and employee handbook
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Recruiting & Hiring
• Manage job postings and recruiting strategy
• Oversee hiring for office and administrative staff
• Coordinate interviews and hiring processes
• Support onboarding and new hire transitions
HR Systems & Administration
• Manage employee records within Paylocity
• Oversee background checks, drug screens, and offer letters
• Track employee documentation and compliance requirements
• Handle garnishments and HR related reporting
Employee Relations
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters
• Support performance management processes
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning
What We Are Looking For
• 3 plus years of experience managing HR operations independently
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity preferred
• Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work confidently in a fast paced environment
SHRM certification is a plus but not required.
