Shifts: 1st Shift, 32 Hours Per Week - Days Vary
Starting Pay: Minimum of $20.50/hour, pay increases based on Years Certified. Position eligible for weekend shift differential.

Essential Job Duties
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.

Qualifications
- Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
- Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.

Essential Job Duties
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
- Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
- Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
- Answers signal lights promptly.
- Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
