Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Clerks to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of deli products while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Position requires various hours as needed by the department. The team in the deli provide a positive and productive atmosphere to work in.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble deli items according to company standards, including slicing meats and cheeses, and creating prepared foods
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Restock shelves, coolers, and display cases as needed to ensure product availability
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or working in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and upsell products
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in grocery stores, retail environments, or culinary settings is preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail
