Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a part-time Cook for one evening a week. Hours are 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm on Saturday, 5 hours per week during the school year.
Located in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the only girls’ school in New England to offer the IB Diploma Programme and attracts students from the local area and around the world. Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production and service of dinner one night a week for 20-40 Boarding Students. Additional shifts may be available for special functions. (i.e. Reunion, Family Weekends, Formal Dinners)
- Oversees that safe food prep, serving and cleaning procedures are followed by the other Dining Staff members on your shift.
- Be able to follow recipes and prepare items in a timely manner.
- Be able to maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Have good people skills.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Starting pay: $17.00 per hour
