Role Description The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time role based in Des Moines, IA. This position is responsible for generating new business, meeting with prospective and existing customers, and presenting stone products and solutions that match project needs. Day-to-day activities include conducting sales presentations, visiting job sites, following up on leads, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, designers, and property owners. The role also involves providing responsive customer service, coordinating with internal teams on pricing and availability, and tracking sales activities to meet or exceed targets.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Sales Presentations and New Business Development to effectively showcase products and expand the customer base.
- Demonstrated ability in Relationship Building and Customer Service to maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging with customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
- Experience in outside sales, preferably in building materials, construction, or related industries.
- Comfort working in an on-site, field-based environment, including travel to customer locations and job sites in and around Des Moines, IA.
- Ability to organize schedules, manage pipelines, and use basic sales or CRM tools to track activity.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
