Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded
• Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques to keep surfaces spotless and safe
• Handle manual lifting of furniture or heavy items safely during cleaning or rearrangement tasks
• Use janitorial supplies responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines for cleaning detergents and equipment
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific needs or requests and provide friendly customer service during interactions
• Conduct outdoor work as needed for patio or garden area cleaning or maintenance tasks
• Manage time effectively to complete all assigned duties within scheduled shifts while maintaining high-quality standards

Skills

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles with strong janitorial or custodial background
• Skilled in various cleaning techniques including dusting, surface sanitation, carpet extraction, and floor care
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and proper use of cleaning detergents for different surfaces
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with clear client communication abilities
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for handling exterior cleaning responsibilities
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene compliance in all areas of the home
• Experience in housekeeping management or supervising other staff is advantageous but not required
