Contract Registered Nurse (RN Supervisor) – Home Care

At Stonehaven Home Care, we are building a professional, elevated non-medical home care agency focused on providing compassionate, high-quality support services while helping clients remain comfortable and independent in their own homes.
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve in a contract supervisory role to support agency licensing requirements and provide periodic professional oversight as the agency grows.
This is not a full-time clinical position and does not involve ongoing skilled nursing services or direct patient treatment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the agency licensing process as the designated RN supervisor
- Reviewing or assisting with client care plans for personal care clients when applicable
- Conducting initial client assessments as needed
- Performing periodic supervisory visits and oversight activities as needed and in accordance with applicable requirements and client service needs.
- Providing occasional professional consultation related to client safety and care planning
- Supporting compliance and quality oversight within the scope of the RN role
Position Details:
- The role is expected to involve limited hours initially, with scheduling coordinated in advance and responsibilities varying based on licensing requirements, client volume, assessments, and supervisory needs.
- Flexible schedule — visits and responsibilities will be coordinated around RN availability whenever possible
- Independent contractor role
- Remote support may be appropriate for certain care plan reviews, consultation, and administrative activities
- Limited hours expected initially while the agency is launching
- Hours may vary depending on client volume, assessments, licensing requirements, and supervisory needs
Compensation:
- One-time licensing onboarding payment: $350 for participation in the agency licensing process and agreement to serve as the RN supervisor
- After agency operations begin, compensation will be provided on an as-needed basis for completed services
Current anticipated compensation structure:
– Initial client assessments: starting at $75 per completed assessment
– Supervisory visits: generally $50–$60 per completed visit
– Additional consultation, care plan review, or administrative support (when requested): $45 per hour
Compensation structure and rates may be reviewed and adjusted over time based on agency growth, client volume, and scope of responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Virginia preferred; candidates currently in the process of Virginia licensure transfer may be considered subject to licensing requirements)
- Strong communication and professional judgment
- Interest in supporting a growing home care organization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
