Stonehaven Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/RN Supervisor to join our clinical leadership team.
This is a dual leadership role that combines the daily responsibilities of an ADON with RN Supervisor coverage. The ideal candidate is a dependable nurse leader who can support staff, oversee clinical operations, and help ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Director of Nursing with daily nursing department operations
Oversee clinical operations during assigned weekend shifts
Supervise, support, and mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Monitor resident care, care plans, and clinical documentation
Address changes in condition and other clinical concerns
Assist with admissions, discharges, staffing, and scheduling
Help ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations
Participate in surveys, plans of correction, quality assurance, infection prevention, and risk management
Support staff onboarding, education, training, and development
Communicate with physicians, families, leadership, and interdisciplinary team members
Promote accountability, teamwork, and positive resident outcomes
Active Alabama Registered Nurse license required
Skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation experience required
Previous experience as an ADON, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or similar leadership role preferred
Knowledge of CMS regulations and nursing home operations
Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in real time
