Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join Stoneham Central Middle School as a Spanish World Language Teacher for 7th and 8th grade. As a member of our World Language department, will play a crucial role in fostering students' language proficiency, cultural understanding, and love for world language learning.

- Develop and implement effective lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students learning Spanish.
- Teach Spanish language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, using a UDL approach that utilizes various techniques and strategies.
- Provide engaging and interactive classroom instruction to facilitate language acquisition and develop students' cultural awareness.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student participation, student-centered learning, and collaboration.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational tools to support language instruction.
- Assess students' progress regularly through assignments, tests, projects, and oral evaluations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Identify individual student needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly to support their language development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on the latest language teaching methodologies and resources.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate that promotes respect, understanding, and appreciation for cultural diversity.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field Required.

Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education in Spanish.

Fluency in Spanish (including native or near-native proficiency)
