Location: Newark, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Compensation: $185,000 – $215,000 Base Salary Bonus Opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Represent borrowers, lenders, developers, investors, and commercial property owners in complex real estate transactions
- Negotiate and draft commercial loan agreements, guarantees, and related financing documents
- Handle sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions from inception through closing
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for acquisitions and dispositions
- Conduct due diligence and coordinate transaction closings
- Advise clients on real estate development, financing, and investment matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to support complex transactions and client objectives
Qualifications
- 4 years of commercial real estate experience
- Significant experience handling commercial real estate financing transactions, preferably representing borrowers
- Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate substantive provisions of loan agreements, guarantees, and related financing documents
- Strong experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements for commercial acquisitions and dispositions
- Experience with redevelopment projects in New Jersey is a plus
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client relationship skills
- Admission to the New Jersey or New York Bar required
